Tool Talk FAQ

The Questions You Were Probably Going to Ask Anyway

General FAQs

What is Tool Addicts Anonymous?

Tool Addicts Anonymous (TAA) started as a private Facebook group where a couple mechanic buddies debated about the best gear, posted their shop setups, and enabled each other’s tool-buying habits. Now, it’s grown into a full-blown website with exclusive tool reviews, pro tips, cool merch, and a hell of a lot more.

Do I need to be a professional mechanic or tradesman to join?

Nope. If you love tools, you belong here. Whether you’re wrenching for a living or just decking out your garage with more gear than you probably need, TAA is for you.

Is this one of those gimmicky tool review sites that just recycles standard blog bullshit?

Absolutely not. We tell it like it is. If a tool sucks, we say so. If it’s overpriced, we call it out. Everything we write is from real-world experience, solid research, and community feedback.

Do you actually test the tools you talk about?

When we get our hands on ‘em, absolutely. If not, we lean on guys we trust—mechanics, builders, and tool freaks who live this stuff. No paid bullshit (hell, we don’t even have affiliate links), no corporate spin—just straight-up verdicts from the trenches.
